Shipping Policy

General Shipping Information

Orders are usually dispatched within 1-3 working days for standard delivery. Express delivery is offered at a charge of £5.00 to UK mainland next day delivery. We are able to ship vases to most countries worldwide - please contact us for a quote on shipping.

All UK deliveries are made with courier DPD. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number; you can follow the progress of your delivery through the link on email or on the DPD website using your unique tracking number. Unfortunately, timed deliveries are not available.

International deliveries are on request, and shipped using DPD services.

In the event of a delay by the courier, we are unable to offer a refund or resend your delivery. We cannot guarantee that delivery instructions will be followed. Although our team will always try our best to ensure punctual delivery for our customers, we cannot be held responsible if a delivery arrives late due to any circumstances impacting the availability of the courier service that we use or anything else outside of our control.

You will become the owner of the goods you have ordered when they have been delivered to you. Once goods have been delivered to you, they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.

UK Special Delivery (Next Working Day)

We offer a next day delivery service for an extra charge. We will despatch your order to arrive the next working day. This service is for UK mainland only (excluding a Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday delivery). This offer is only available for UK orders placed before 12 noon.

Processing and Shipping Times

Orders will be sent within 1-3 business days from your date of purchase. Please allow up to 7 working days for Standard delivery

Deliveries to mainland Europe may take up to 10 working days

International Shipments

Please note the customer is responsible for payment of all duties or taxes imposed by the destination country. If you have any questions or problems during check out, please email contact@gertrudejekylldesigns.com and we will do our best to resolve the issue. 

Amendments and Cancellations

If you need to change your shipping address, or for any other modifications, please email us promptly. We cannot amend or cancel your order once a shipping confirmation has been issued. We are unable to provide refunds for any deliveries sent to the wrong location where we have not received advance notice. 

We reserve the right, at our absolute discretion, to cancel your order if it becomes apparent to us that the courier service in your area is too unreliable. We value our customers and our ability to delivery, so where we can’t, we won’t risk disappointing you.

Lost or Damaged Shipments

Please note it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that a safe and secure delivery address is provided and that all shipping information is entered accurately. If you package is lost or stolen, we will do everything we can to liaise with the carrier, however, we are not responsible for packages once they are in transit.

If your order arrives damaged, please email contact@gertrudejekylldesigns.com within 3 days of receiving, with your order number and photographic evidence.

 

REFUND POLICY

Returns

Gertrude Jekyll Designs has a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you receive it, unused, in its original packaging and unopened.

Only items purchased on the www.gertrudejekylldesigns.com website can be returned to Gertrude Jekyll Designs for a refund or an exchange. Items purchased in a department store, speciality retailer or elsewhere much be returned to their original place of purchase.

If you return is accepted, we’ll send you a return authorisation number and return shipping address to post the goods back to. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted – further to this, items posted back to our registered office address will not be accepted.

You are responsible for the shipping costs incurred when sending items back to Gertrude Jekyll Designs. We strongly advise using a tracked and signed service to ensure your items reach us. Please retain your postal receipt until you are certain your items have been safely received by Gertrude Jekyll Designs.

Please note Gertrude Jekyll Designs will not pay for the cost of return postage unless the goods are incorrect, faulty or damaged. Should a refund be requested, the original postage and return postage charge will not be refunded.  We process our returns as soon as they are received, but during busy periods there may occasionally be a delay. Refunds can only be made to the original method of payment. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the items you have purchased, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please note it can take 5-10 days for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
